THE PROFILE OF DEAN
Life Before Senior High School
To be honest, I don't remember much of my life before senior high school.
Only remember that at that time my mind was full of study, so whether in the view of teachers or classmates, I was an uncompromisingly good student.
In addition, I did not have a smartphone with me at the time, so to be honest, I did not record many photos.
Even if there are photos left to record that life, they are long gone because it has been a long time.
So I'll just skim over this part!
Entering Senior High School
Energy and persistence conquer all things.
Join the Varsity Soccer Team
Fortunately, after entering high school, I met one of the most devoted hobbies of my life, which had a major impact on my subsequent life, soccer.
Once I was first introduced to soccer, I was completely hooked. Whether it was PE class, after school or before school, I tried to squeeze in as much time as I could to play soccer. Of course, I was not alone, I had many buddies who played soccer with me.
Perhaps due to my own diligence or just my good luck, I was fortunate enough to join the varsity soccer team and qualify to represent my school in the tournament. The most unforgettable memory was the moment we won the championship of the Fuzhou High School Football League, which was the first championship trophy in the history of our high school team. I was very honored to be able to participate in this historic moment.
Also I participated in the school band as a drummer during high school, which is one of my really memorable memories. Every weekend we would get together to rehearse songs and enjoy the music and the joy it brought us. We participated in many street performances and also got the opportunity to perform in front of thousands of students and teachers at the school's annual cultural show. It was the first time I played in front of so many people, and I was very nervous and excited at the same time.
Entering University: United International College
True mastery of any skill takes a lifetime.
Focusing on Everything About the Game, Including Creating
When I finished my college entrance exams and was ready to enter my college life, my college choice was not so usual compared to the ordinary Chinese high school students: I chose an international university.
On the one hand, I think international universities are important for my future study abroad planning, and on the other hand, compared to regular universities, international universities can expand my horizons and expose me to a wide variety of information, which will have a positive impact on my future career planning.
As a Computer Science and Technology student, with a strong interest in games since childhood and the broad platform provided by my university, I started to learn and figure out this path of game development while I was constantly involved in game activities.
While I continued to participate in various game competitions and game exhibitions, I formed a game development team with other like-minded students: The Fun Project, and participated in various game development competitions under this name. Whether it was a game development competition organized by a game company or such game development events like game jam, we were constantly looking for a platform to improve our development capabilities.
At the same time, my final year project was also a game development related project. Thanks to my supervisor's interest and support, he also enlisted the help of Media Art and Design majors for me to work with them to complete a highly finished game design. Even though the game is only in the technical verification stage, I am still very excited to have this professional collaboration opportunity and look forward to the final product!
